Updates on the FWB and the LD Man

Celibate I still am! Hooray me! The FWB continues to text me occasionally, asking when he can come get it! LOL I guess he feels that persistence will pay off. He also told me that he went by my old class room looking for me when he went back to work. I'm not sure how he missed that fact that I wasn't going back to that job. DOH!

The long distance man that I've been talking to is still hanging around. We still haven't made a plan for a meeting. Due to my job switch, money has been ugly! He actually offered to give me money to help out...not loan...but GIVE! Huh? I'm not sure how to take that. I've never had this happen, and I've never asked for money from anyone.

Does LD know you're celibate? If not, then I would NOT take him up on his offer. He, like any man, would expect something in return.

Hey girlie! You must be a member of the "Golden Cookie" club {wink}. Interesting how Mr. FWB went to see if you were around...awww...

You didn't ask for my two cents but tread carefully with Mr. LD. I'm always weary of strangers bearing gifts but that's just me. Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Roxy...yes, Mr. LD knows I'm celibate. We have been talking for some time, and he knows when I made the decision to do so. He was actually partially responsible for the celibacy. When he and I first spoke, he disclosed that he had been celibate, himself, for a couple of years. Whether or not I really believe it to be true is another story! ;) But I am trying to trust people until they prove me wrong these days (part of my reformation!). Some of our convos about the subject got me thinking.

Curvy Gurl...I know what you mean about strangers. I'm so cautious, it scares me sometimes!

Hmm...the cookie has been known to put 'em in a trance! LOL J/K

Never never ever accept money from someone....it just sets the wrong tone.

Go you for sorting stuff out....hopefully it pays off.

FWB sounds like a bad penny...keeps turning up. Good for you for sticking to your guns! You go girl!

I agree with the others. Accepting $$$ from LD probably isn't the way to go. If you had met and were in a relationship, it would be different. He may also see your celibacy as a challenge meaning he may think that if you accept and go to see him, he'll be the one to get you to break the celibacy vow.

hmm if you and LD are on the same page bout the celibacy thing, maybe it'll work out afterall. though i don't recommend accepting money from him. i find that weird. i mean you would think there would be strings attached to that.

so bout this celibate thing, how long are you planning on being celibate? or is it till you find yourself in a relationship?

Most of you seem to think the way I do about the money.

As for the celibacy, there is no certain length of time I plane to wait. I'm just not going to fall into any more casual sex type relationships.

well hooray for you that celibate you still are :P

well in that case...

I've definitely accepted offers like this from men. I've been blessed to have had fun, but of course I always let multiple people know where I'll be, the email address of the guy and whatever else I think might be helpful just in case.

If it was me, accepting the money would make me feel like...well, it'd be like that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie's French date left a wad of cash by the bedside table after spending the night with her. Makes you feel sort of hooker-ish, no?

I say, don't take the money. You won't look at yourself the same way if you do.

LOL! I thought of that SATC episode also! Although, LD isn't offering me that sum of money. It really isn't that much, but it still feels strange.

I told him not to send it, but he told me he was anyway.

Roxy...I always play it safe myself! I've already given friends his info.
