And the countdown continues...

This is day 19 and counting. MatchMan has called a few times during his forced "vacation". We have also written letters. It's all been quite romantic, considering the circumstances. For the first week or so, I didn't hear a peep from him. I later found out that he was too proud to contact me and was embarrassed. He assures me that he will never go back there again. He can't handle all the other men in there. He isn't the jailbird type. He isn't cut out for being the "tough guy". I knew this when he went in, and it had me somewhat worried. He is the kind of guy who is always laughing and cracking jokes. He is sensitive to others' needs and feelings. All that being said, he is hanging in there, but it is definitely wearing on him. In his first letter, he sent a list of "demands" upon his release...some naughty and some Rated G.

RM still continues to send text messages. The last one just said, "I hope you are well."

You definitely are in an odd situation, just be careful. Call it a hunch.

Are you open to dating others? Men have a tendency to be ultra-romantic in jail - they have no other options. Just saying, arrest aside, maybe it's not so bad to see others at this time, or keep yourself open to dating others. I know what it's like to be lonely, btw, I haven't been in a relationship in almost 2 years, and dating is very, very minimal so I am not talking out of my ass.

Haha @ ultra-romantic in jail! The way he talks to me and what he says hasn't changed. He has always been a sweet guy. It's the fact that we are writing letters and sending them snail mail that I was referring to as romantic. I haven't done that in years! Yes, I have been open to dating others, as I always am. But I haven't met anyone since he's been gone. I've stayed busy with friends and work. No worries...I haven't been sitting and pining.

And yes, I'm always careful!

The guy is locked up for something really stupid. He made some mistakes that caught up with him, and he is having to pay the price for ignoring a problem until it got out of control. Trust me...I've done some background investigating...

Good for you! I would do the same thing. I know people can get locked up for dumb stuff. My best friend was always getting into one jam or another. It happens.

At least you have the summer off! That makes for a great summer.
